USA National Swimming Team Members participate in Josh the Otter Reading

Last Wednesday National Team Athlete Partnership members Josh Schneider,
Morgan Scroggy, Lyndsay De Paul, David Russell and Dagny Knutson read
"Josh the Otter" to about forty 8-and-under swimmers who are enrolled in
the Santa Clara Swim Club's Make-A-Splash learn to swim program.

I was unable to be there, but from what Matt Whewell told me, it was a
pretty successful event. I rented a room at the Santa Clara Central Park
Library which is next to the pool where the Santa Clara Invite took
place.

Not only did these swimmers give back to the swimming community by
reading to the kids, but they also helped to generate buzz about the
meet!

Whewell told me parents were asking about where they could buy the book
and the kids really liked the story. They told them that If they hadn't already to please visit the Josh the Otter website: http://www.joshtheotter.org/ & that the foundation's goal is to educate children with a fun and simple message: TO STAY AWAY FROM
WATER UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
