Float for Life

The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation supports ALL water-training resources that educate children and adults on how to swim, float, and become safe in and around water. The Float for Life program developed through the partnership of the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation and the YMCA of Lincoln, NE. Together they implemented the first infant and toddler water-training courses in the city.(Highlighted for Home Page) These courses teach children 9 months to toddlers to float on their back, kick to and then grab the side of the pools edge. Through donations and great success in Nebraska’s YMCA’s we have taught hundreds of children this life saving skill and are currently expanding the classes to Y’s and other Nebraska swimming facilities in Lincoln, McCook, Beatrice, and are currently training YMCA’s in Wisconsin, and Iowa.
